The words this week are angelic, foster, ruin.
I decided to try it twice. Comments are welcome.
I
Fate, the foster child of heaven,
inscrutable—
just when we may expect it
to lead us to ruin
will suddenly turn
and play an angelic chord.
No. I reject your angelic smile
and your eyes that foster trust.
I won’t be trapped by perfect love.
I’ll remain forever free.
You won’t ruin me.
They are both excellent. Three Word Wednesday sounds fun :) Cheers, Jenn
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jenn. Why don't you give it a try, too?

ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Laura. It's fun to do prompts like these sometimes.
DeletePerfect love certainly is a trap and then we have to slap at the mosquito bites of enticement thereafter.
ReplyDeleteI'm lucky enough to have what I consider "perfect" love; at least I don't see how it could be better. Thanks for reading and commenting!
DeleteThis was nice Elaine. I like the way you wove the words into your poem.
ReplyDeleteI really need to figure out what I am going to do on Wednesday, there is the Write on Wednesday, Wordless Wednesday, and now I see a 3-Word Wednesday! "Eenie, meenie, minie, moe..." (grinZ)
Thank you, K~. Wednesdays are busy! People must have thought we needed more things to do on Wednesdays. I haven't seen Write on Wednesday yet; I'll have to look for that!
