Microblog Monday: Happiness Is Tea and an Old
Friend
I had a lovely afternoon on Saturday with Sue Munroe at a delightful little tearoom in Warwick
called Trinity Confections. Wonderful food—soup,
salad, quiche, and delicious pastries and homemade
chocolates—and great talk.
So people I didn’t think I’d ever see again have reappeared
in my life, and I’m so grateful for that!
Looks like a lovely time and you know me, you had me at chocolates! :)
ReplyDeleteYou and me both, Amy! I wish you and I could spend a few leisure hours in a tearoom.
DeleteIt is amazing the power of Facebook to reconnect with people from your past!
ReplyDeleteIt really is. Much more than I expected when I joined--I was a little skeptical.
DeleteThat's lovely. Just last night I met school friends after 34 years, thanks to FB again. Lovely pictures, Elaine.
ReplyDeleteSo nice, Corinne! Isn't it great to know you can still connect after so many years?
DeleteThrough Facebook, I've also had the chance to reconnect with some people from long, long ago and to meet some new friends IRL (in real life). I'm a travel blogger, so this has happened for me all over the world---in Thailand, Singapore, Honolulu, Toronto, Ottawa and sometimes even in my hometown, Philadelphia. Last week, I re-met two people in Munich, Germany. It had been very gratifying.
ReplyDeleteWow, Suzanne, that's fantastic--meeting people you know all over the world? I wish I was so cosmopolitan! I read your blog and it sounds like you have a fascinating life.
DeleteLove this! So much fun reconnecting with old friends.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Laurel, it really is.
DeleteSo glad you had the opportunity to reconnect, I guess Facebook isn't all bad afterall.
ReplyDeleteFacebook has been a real boon to me, and I say that as someone who resisted it for years. Not only remeeting old friends but finding new ones and learning from them and picking up new interests.
DeleteLove the photo of you and Sue. Wish I lived a little closer, I'd be right there with you.
ReplyDeleteOne day soon, Alexis
That would be wonderful, Alexis! I hope we do find a way to all get together.
DeleteIt was great seeing you earlier this year, Elaine. We definitely need to figure out a way for all four of us to get together. Nice picture of you and Sue. Maureen
ReplyDeleteThat would be so great, Maureen. Maybe when your play opens, if not sooner!
